Registered Nurse – Oncology (RN)

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse with a specialization in Oncology to join our team. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional care to patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Schedule

This position is a full-time role with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with variations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cancer diagnoses.
• Collaborate with the oncology team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment options, side effects, and supportive care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuous education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in oncology nursing.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Chemotherapy certification is required.
• Must be able to administer chemotherapy.

Holiday Requirements

The selected candidate will be required to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve).
