Registered Nurse, House Supervisor

Position Information

The House Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of patient care during night shifts. This position requires strong leadership abilities, critical thinking skills, and the capacity to function autonomously in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.

• Shift: Night
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Minimum of 4 shifts per month
• Call Requirements: No

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours leadership and support to nursing staff.
• Assist in patient care when needed.
• Ensure overall quality of patient care across all units.
• Act as a resource for nursing staff during shifts.
• Report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 10 bed Emergency Department, 15 bed Medical Surgical, 4 bed Intensive Care Unit
• Patient Ratios: Medical Surgical 5:1, Intensive Care Unit 2:1
• Equipment: Various medical equipment must be available
• EHR: Medhost / Medhost EDIS
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatric patients, including Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, and Older Adult

Qualifications

• Required Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 4 years
• Required Certifications: Current RN license in the state of practice; BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
• Experience with Patient Care: Must be able to care for patients in the ICU, Emergency Department, and assist with Medical Surgical units
