Multimodality Technologist

Shift Details

• Shift: Nights, 3×12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call Requirement: No
• Floating: Possible to float to like units

Job Responsibilities

The Multimodality Technologist will provide high-quality imaging and patient care in X-ray and Computed Tomography (CT). Key responsibilities include:

• Effectively explaining procedures to patients and ensuring their understanding and competency.
• Producing diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.

Qualifications

• Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiography and Computed Tomography.
• First-timers are accepted, but prior experience is preferred.
• Required Certifications:
  • Registered in Radiography (ARRT) (R)
  • Registered in Computed Tomography (ARRT) (C)
  • SCRQSA
  • BLS
  • ACLS (pending certification is acceptable within 2-3 weeks of hire)
• Preferred Experience:
  • Emergency, Trauma, Pediatrics, Orthopedic exams in both modalities
  • Siemens equipment
  • Charting in EPIC
  • PACS experience
• Radiation Badge: Must be provided by the agency; the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers.
• Radius Rule: Yes, 60 miles.
• Local Candidates: Accepted on a case-by-case basis.
• Request Time Off (RTO): All RTO must be included at the time of submission for approval.
• Guaranteed Hours: The facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

Additional Information

This position requires awareness of hurricane season, during which all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity typically occurring in August and September.
