Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical department. The RN will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical and surgical care to both inpatients and outpatients. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including those with medical and surgical diagnoses, telemetry patients, and swing bed patients.

Schedule Requirements

• 3×12 Night Shifts
• Available to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Floating to other medical surgical and rehabilitation units may be required

Holiday Requirement

The traveler will be expected to work during the upcoming major holidays. Specifically, they must work 2 of the following 3 holidays:

• Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

If the contract includes only 2 of these holidays, the traveler will need to work 1 of the 2 holidays. Please limit requests for time off to a maximum of 1 holiday.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with EPIC software is mandatory
• Pre-screening by clinical staff will be required to determine clinical fit

Unit Information

The Medical Surgical department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The primary patient population includes adults requiring both medical and surgical care, as well as telemetry and other specialized services.
