X-Ray and CT Technologist

Located in the beautiful region of Northern California, this role involves operating x-ray and computed tomography equipment while assisting in departmental objectives and goals. The ideal candidate will help foster an environment that enables the medical imaging department to meet operational goals and perform multiple modalities proficiently.

Job Summary

The X-Ray and CT Technologist is responsible for performing various radiographic and computed tomography procedures consistent with their experience. This position requires performing two modalities competently and safely transporting patients between gurneys and wheelchairs, among other responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray and computed tomography equipment effectively.
• Perform mobile imaging examinations (radiographic and fluoroscopic) as necessary.
• Safely prepare contrast agents for medical imaging procedures.
• Perform various radiographic and computed tomography procedures.
• Conduct regular tests on defibrillator equipment and check the integrity of emergency response carts.
• Transport and transfer patients safely.
• Execute other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology: Required
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (some certifications may require a Bachelor’s): Preferred
• Three years of technical experience: Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
• Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in the state of practice: Required
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification: Required
• Certification in two additional advanced modalities such as Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography (M), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or Sonography (S): Preferred

Work Schedule

This position requires availability to work three 12-hour night shifts from Friday to Sunday.
