Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position requires a strong clinical background and a passion for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Nights
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Timing: 1800 – 0600

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in the Emergency Room.
• Support a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage an average of 100 patients per day, addressing diverse medical conditions including trauma, cardiac, and neuro cases.
• Utilize electronic medical record systems (EMR) such as Allscripts – Sunrise.
• Administer medications using the Omnicell medication system.
• Oversee patient care in various ER settings including fast track beds and monitored rooms.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• Certifications:
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
  • PALS (AHA)
  • TNCC
• Work Environment: Level IV Trauma Center with a total of 30 ER rooms, including 6 fast track beds and a six room EDOU observation unit.
• Support staff includes 5 techs during peak hours.
