Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality care to residents in a long-term care and skilled nursing facility. The successful candidate will work in a supportive environment, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Monitor and document patients’ vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Support residents with social and recreational activities.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care.

Shift Information

• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Typical Shift Times: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (may include some early shifts from 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
• Schedule includes every other weekend and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Current BLS Certification is required.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Unit Overview

• Unit Type: Long-term care and skilled nursing facility.
• Number of Beds: 44
• Patient Care Ratio: 7-8 patients per CNA.
• Common Diagnoses: Dementia, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF).

Additional Notes

• Orientation will be conducted on-site, specific to the location of employment.
• Rotating weekend shifts and holiday work are required.
