Registered Nurse – OB/L&D

Job Description

Seeking experienced Registered Nurses for the OB/L&D department, focusing on providing exceptional care to mothers and their newborns. The ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and possess critical skills in high-acuity settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Stabilize newborns and manage care for patients in high-acuity situations.
• Collaborate with the on-site medical team to deliver timely assistance during critical procedures.
• Maintain adherence to AWHONN perinatal staffing requirements and RN protocols.

Shift & Scheduling

• Currently hiring for night shifts only.
• Preferred block schedule: 5 on/5 off/2 on/2 off.

Nurse Staffing Details

• 2 experienced nurses required per shift, with one additional nurse on-call for support.
• Housing options are limited but expected to become available by late November.

Qualifications

Required Certifications

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
• Advanced EFM
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred Certifications

• Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO)
• STABLE

Additional Information

• An operating room for C-sections is available; experience as an OR circulator is beneficial.
• Experience in Level 2 or higher nurseries is preferred to handle potential high-acuity newborn care needs.
• A dedicated physician or midwife will be available on-call 24/7.

Start Date

The positions are available as early as the first week of December or late November.
