Operating Room Nurse – Traveler

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse for a travel position within our surgical department. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and be capable of functioning in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the operating room.
• Assist in both circulating and scrubbing roles as required.
• Perform nursing assessments and develop patient care plans in collaboration with the surgical team.
• Monitor patient status and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Adhere to safety standards and infection control protocols.
• Participate in continuing education and training programs.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license via Nursys.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
• Experience with orthopedic cases (total knees, hips, shoulders, ankles), podiatry, gynecology, and general/laparoscopic procedures preferred.
• Ability to take on-call shifts as needed, including rotating call 1-2 days per week and 1 weekend per month.

Additional Information

• Charting system: EPIC.
• Scrubs: Any color; provided by the facility.
• Schedule: Day shifts available; full-time hours.
