Physical Therapist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for inpatient therapy who is willing to float to Acute Rehabilitation Units (ARU) and Transitional Care Units (TCU) as needed. The ideal candidate should have experience in acute care and acute rehabilitation, with a preference for those who have ICU experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to adult patients with a variety of conditions including general medical, orthopedic, neurological, and traumatic injuries.
• Manage a caseload of patients, treating 8-12 patients per day in acute care and 4-5 patients in acute rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to evaluate patients, design treatment plans, and ensure quality care.
• Administer therapy sessions to meet departmental quality measures and assist with patient discharge planning.
• Participate in 2-3 days of orientation including shadowing and learning about specific departmental protocols and EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Valid BLS Certification.
• Current Wyoming Physical Therapist (PT) License or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in acute care and acute rehabilitation preferred; new graduates may not be eligible.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly in a rehabilitation setting focusing on patient therapy volume requirements.

Work Schedule

Flexible scheduling includes the possibility of 5-8 hour shifts or 4-10 hour shifts. Shifts will be determined by the department manager. Weekend and holiday work is required, with expectations to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.

Dress Code

Ceil blue scrubs are required while on duty.

• Orientation involves partial patient caseload responsibilities during the initial training phase.
