Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Neuroscience Med/Surg unit. This role entails providing comprehensive care to adults and geriatric patients with diverse medical conditions and requires adaptability to various units based on staffing needs.

Schedule

• Shifts: 4×12 hours (06:45 – 19:15)
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend

Patient Care Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for managing care for patients with diagnoses including:

• Stroke/TIA
• Seizure
• Syncope
• Pneumonia
• Chest Pain
• Dialysis
• Acute Kidney Failure
• Post Heart Catheterization
• Respiratory Failure
• Encephalopathy
• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• Sepsis

Unit Specifics

This inpatient unit specializes in caring for stroke and TIA patients, while also managing higher acuity medical-surgical cases. The staff is committed to an exceptional patient experience, with capabilities to administer peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active TN RN license
• At least 1 year of nursing experience
• Proficient in EPIC
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required
• Must be flexible to float to other units as needed based on skills and areas of expertise
• No first-time travelers considered

Staffing and Ratios

The staffing ratio for night shifts is 1:6, ensuring focused and quality care for each patient.
