Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)

Shift Details

Night shift, 5×8 hours (23:00 – 07:30). Monday through Friday.

Role Responsibilities

• Decontamination of all items, including drills, Da Vinci systems, and scopes.
• Assembly of all instruments across various service lines, including trauma and loaners, with peel packaging when necessary.
• Executing the sterilization process using both Sterrad and steam methods.
• Experience with high-level disinfection (HLD) and scopes.
• Managing sterile storage effectively.
• Acting as a liaison to the operating room (OR).
• Utilizing the Censitrac tracking system proficiently.
• Mandatory Medivator experience required.

Qualifications

• Current certification as either CBSPD or CRCST is required (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM).
• Experience in all departmental areas is essential, including working in a high-volume facility comparable to a Level One trauma facility.
• Previous experience in similar roles is highly valued.
