Registered Nurse – Emergency Department Boarder RN

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced Adult Emergency Department (ED). This department manages over 100,000 visits annually and is renowned as one of the busiest trauma centers in the country. The focus of this role is to provide care exclusively for medical/surgical boarder patients within the ED.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and assess a diverse patient population with a variety of diagnoses.
• Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5, with assistance from supportive personnel.
• Ensure high-quality patient care in an emergency environment.

Qualifications:

• Current New York State RN License.
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Experience in telemetry nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

This position requires rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends as needed. No previous emergency department experience is required.
