Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Long Term Care team. This position requires prior travel experience and a valid Alaska nursing license.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Long Term Care setting.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and progress.
• Participate in patient care planning and resource allocation.

Shift Information

This position requires a commitment to a 4×12 variable shift schedule, with the possibility of either day or night shifts, depending on facility needs. Flexibility is essential, as shifts will not rotate between day and night, with occasional exceptions.

Contract Duration

Travelers may choose between a 26-week or a 13-week assignment, with guaranteed hours of 60 per 2 weeks. Travelers can be called off for one 12-hour shift per 2 weeks.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Alaska nursing license.
• A minimum of 1 year of Long Term Care experience is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory.
• All caregivers must obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation, with a small certification fee.

Additional Information

• No local candidates accepted; candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility.
• No pending licenses will be accepted.
• Submit any requests for time off (RTO) at the time of submittal; no more than 2 weeks of RTO will be considered for a 26-week contract. Travelers should be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major Winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
• Facility will provide shuttle transportation to and from Anchorage at the start and end of the contract, as well as local transportation options.
• Parking is complimentary for all staff.

Charting

Charting will be done using ECS.

Dress code includes any color of scrubs.
