Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing and a strong background in managing patients in a medical intensive care setting.

Schedule

Shifts are from 0645 to 1915, with variations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond to significant changes.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
• Utilize advanced nursing techniques and technologies to provide specialized care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical intensive care unit.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are preferred.
• Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) is a plus.
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records is preferred.
