Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will possess flexibility for scheduling and a commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to changes in condition.

Scheduling

The position requires a commitment to a weekend rotation with a flexible schedule based on facility needs. Please note that specific schedule requests cannot be accommodated.

Call Requirements

There are no on-call duties associated with this position.

Floating

Travel may be required within the facility and must be within the scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar nursing role.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Current and valid nursing license.
• Full compliance with all required credentials to start on time.
• Ability to work designated shifts, including weekends and holidays as necessary.

Work Schedule

Shifts are scheduled as night 3×12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Holiday Policy

Travelers are expected to work during major holidays based on their assignment duration. Details include:

• If one major holiday occurs during the assignment, the traveler will work it.
• If two major holidays occur, the traveler will work both.
• If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.

Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day.

Compliance

Full compliance with all credentialing requirements is mandatory to start the position on time. Failure to comply may lead to a 2-week delay due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Additional Information

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers. Number of non-billable orientation hours is determined based on the contract length.
