Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a post-operative Surgical Care Unit, catering to patients recovering from various surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized patient care with an emphasis on safety and comfort.
• Monitor and assess patients to identify changes in their condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding post-operative care.
• Float to other similar units, including Progressive Care Unit (PCU), as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota.
• BCLS certification is required.
• Experience in a surgical or medical-surgical unit is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts and weekends.

Shift Details

This position offers a night shift schedule of 3×12 hours, with potential for nights only, as well as a rotation of weekend shifts every other week.

Additional Information

• Guaranteed contracted hours.
• No local candidates will be considered; candidates must live outside a 25-mile radius.
• Request for time off (RTO) must be submitted with no RTO permitted within the first week of employment.

This role provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment, supporting the recovery of patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Urology, Plastic Surgery, GYN (not including mom/baby), and Trauma.
