ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule

• 3×12 or 4×12 shifts
• Every other weekend, floating, and holidays are required

Contract Information

48-hour contracts are available with overtime billed after 48 hours. Please indicate your preference during the submission process.

Patient Ratios

Typical ratio: 1:2–3

Candidates must be willing to float to:

• Stepdown Unit
• Emergency Department or Medical-Surgical units for ICU patients being held

Minimum Requirements

• Three years of critical care experience preferred (strong candidates with less experience may be considered)
• Previous travel experience is preferred
• Active Virginia or Compact RN license required at the time of submission
• Proficiency in Epic is mandatory

Required Skills

• Strong neuro critical care experience
• Ventilator management
• IV drip titration
• Telemetry monitoring
• Conscious sedation
• Dysrhythmia recognition and management
• Emergency response and critical care management

Required Certifications

• BLS (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS (American Heart Association only)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
