Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves floating between various units as needed, reporting to the Med Surg South unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical surgical environment.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during their hospital stay.
• Monitor patient conditions, document information, and communicate changes to the health care team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to foster an optimal care environment.

Schedule and Shift Information

• Type of Position: Full-Time
• Shift: Day shift, 3×12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00
• Weekend Requirements: 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• On-Call Requirements: Not required

Patient Ratios

The expected patient care ratio is 1:5-6, ensuring personalized attention and care for each patient.

Dress Code

All licensed nursing personnel are required to wear solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire. Scrub tops may feature colored piping, while print tops are not acceptable except in designated areas.

Certifications

Preferred certifications include:

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
