Job Description

CT Technologist

Shift Details

This position requires a 4×10 evening shift from 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Position Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
First-time applicants are accepted.
Every third weekend and one night of call per week are required.
Active state license is required; candidates must hold an IL state license or be in the process of obtaining one.
On-call duty is mandated, including holidays as needed.
Locals are welcomed with no radius restrictions.
Discuss time-off requests with the manager.

Guaranteed Hours

The client may cancel up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without compensation for the canceled hours. Any cancellation beyond this will result in billing for the affected shifts. On-call shifts will count toward canceled hours.

Required Work Setting Experience:
- Adult Acute Care
- Adult Outpatient
- ICU
- Emergency Department
- Level I Trauma
CT Procedure Skills:
- Abdomen and Pelvis CT (without and/or with contrast)
- Chest CT (without and/or with contrast; including vascular studies such as pulmonary embolism and CTA)
- Head and Neck CT (including carotid, soft tissue neck, trauma head)
Image Display and Post Processing Skills:
- 3D rendering techniques (Maximum intensity projection, Surface shaded displays, Volume rendering)
- Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP)
- Region of interest measurement (ROI)
Professional Knowledge and Skills:
- Isolation Precautions
- Preparation and/or administration of contrast media
- Radiation Safety
- Starting Peripheral IVs
- Venipuncture
Special Procedure Skills:
- Coronary CTA
Spine and Musculoskeletal CT Skills:
- Cervical and Lumbar studies
- Musculoskeletal trauma
- Thoracic imaging
