Psychiatric Patient Care Provider

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated team player to join our unit, providing direct care and clinical services to in-patient psychiatric patients. The role involves engaging with patients on an individual basis and assisting them with daily living activities, social interactions, and psychiatric rehabilitation as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care and support to psychiatric patients in various therapeutic activities.
• Communicate effectively with patients to ensure they have access to required services and support.
• Inform the RN of any patient changes or concerns promptly.
• Participate in clinical rounds and contribute to group therapy sessions as needed.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a relevant healthcare setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Psychology or Sociology is required.

Work Schedule

This position includes rotating shifts—Day/Eve/Night—along with availability on weekends and holidays as required. On-call and callback duties may also be included based on unit needs.
