Surgical Technologist

Position Overview

This position requires a rotating day/evening schedule, with a combination of 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts to achieve a full 40 hours per week. Call duties and weekend shifts are required as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care within a rotating schedule.
• Assist with both circulating and scrubbing as needed during surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record systems.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Prepare and manage surgical instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Provide support in various surgical specialties, including but not limited to surgical oncology, thoracic, colorectal, urology, GYN oncology, head & neck/ENT, neuro, ortho, plastics/reconstructive, and robotics.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
• BCLS certification is required.
• Experience in both circulating and scrubbing roles is essential.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems is mandatory.
• Strong experience in robotic surgery, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, and ENT procedures is required.
• Familiarity with multiple surgical services, including but not limited to:
  • ENT/Plastics (Flaps/Microvascular)
  • Endoscopic procedures (Bronch/EGD/EBUS/LS)
  • Neurosurgery (Craniotomy/EEA/Skull Base)
  • Thoracic surgery
  • Robotic surgeries

Additional Information

Agency staff must be prepared to scrub for a variety of surgical services and have the capability to adapt to different specialties as needed. Parking options are available, and candidates should consider the permit types for optimal access to the parking facilities.
