Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our high-acuity team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in circulating and managing care within a fast-paced, complex environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate a variety of cardiovascular surgical cases including CABG, MVR, AVR, kidney transplants, robotics, and more.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of approximately 25 surgeons, applying prior experience to adapt to different surgical approaches.
• Provide care in a manner consistent with organizational standards and best practices.
• Maintain a high level of communication and coordination with surgical teams.
• Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as required, responding promptly to emergencies.

Shift Details

Shifts are available Monday through Friday, with start times between 6:45 AM and variable end times. The role requires a minimum of one weekday call and one full weekend per month, with the possibility of additional on-call commitments.

Qualifications

• Current RN license with the ability to practice in the relevant state.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS is required.
• A minimum of two years of experience circulating in a cardiovascular operating room.
• Preferred experience in scrubbing, though not mandatory for this role.

Work Environment

The cardiovascular operating room consists of 12 suites with an average of 20 cases per day. We utilize Epic as our electronic medical record system. Staff will be provided with scrubs and have access to unit-specific orientation to ensure smooth integration into the team.
