Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Circulate in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory for interventional procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and preparation before, during, and after procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver optimal patient care.
• Participate in the management of patients undergoing cardiovascular interventions.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to all safety protocols during procedures.
• Engage in continuing education and skills validation, including participation in simulation labs.

Qualifications

• Current Arizona RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab setting.
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required.
• Pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract acceptance.
• Ability to maintain a sterile field and perform nursing skills competently.

Work Schedule

This position includes 12-hour day shifts with a total of three shifts per week. The schedule requires four weekend shifts every four weeks. Call shifts range from six to ten per schedule, with a 30-minute response time required for emergency procedures.

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in floor-specific orientation and competency assessments upon hire.
• Engage in educational sessions for wound care, lifts, and restraints.
• Handle various diagnoses, including interventional procedures and electrophysiology lab tasks.

Work Environment

The Cardiac Cath Lab is equipped with modern technology, including Phillips and Siemens equipment, and utilizes Cerner and Xper EMR systems. The unit is a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork and high-quality patient care.
