Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) with a focus on providing outstanding patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and experience necessary to support surgical interventions across various specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative assessments.
• Assist in surgical procedures by circulating and scrubbing as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols during surgeries.
• Float within the department to meet facility needs based on patient demand.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse.
• Required certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Trauma Level I experience is mandatory.
• Ability to circulate during surgeries; scrubbing skills preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in various surgical specialties including General, Plastic, GYN, ENT, Trauma, Neuro, Ortho, GU, and Colorectal procedures.

Work Schedule

This position requires 4×10-hour shifts, with the possibility of weekend and holiday work. Call coverage will be required as part of the scheduling process.

Unit Information

• Average daily census of 70-80 patients.
• Comprises multiple surgical specialties and requires flexibility in a dynamic environment.
• The unit consists of 21 operating rooms.

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must be willing to float to different areas within the surgical department as needed.
• Must comply with vaccination requirements as established.
• Two supervisory references will be required upon submission.
