Acute IP Occupational Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Acute IP Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in providing care to patients in an acute care environment.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, approximately 1-2 weekends per month
• Holiday Requirement: As needed

Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for:

• Assessing and treating patients in the acute inpatient setting.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Documenting patient care using electronic medical record systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care setting required.
• Current South Carolina or Multistate Compact Occupational Therapist License required at the start of contract.
• Certifications: BLS, NBCOT.
• Must be willing to float between similar units if needed.

Additional Information

• Guaranteed hours: The facility may cancel 1 shift per 2 weeks.
• Free parking is available.
• Travelers should be aware of hurricane season (June through November) and potential assignment to emergency response teams.
