Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia and preparing them for discharge while ensuring their safety and comfort.

Shift Information

• Schedule: Night shifts, 3×12 hours (20:00 – 08:30)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holidays: Expected to work on major holidays as per the rotation

Patient Population

The role involves providing care to a diverse patient population, ranging from adolescents to geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience: 1 year in a similar setting; new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Care Team Collaboration

Utilize effective communication skills through tools like SBAR to ensure seamless collaboration with the healthcare team. Expected to float within the facility as needed, following established practices.

Compliance and Orientation

• Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time.
• Orientation: Non-billable orientation hours determined by contract length.

Work Environment

The PACU provides a supportive environment with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2, enhancing the quality of care administered to each individual.
