Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality care to adult women of childbearing age in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3×12 Nights (1900-0730)
• Weekend Requirements: Yes (unless stated otherwise on posted schedule)

Patient Ratios

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1, ensuring personalized and focused care for each patient.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery is required.
• First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have at least 3 years of L&D experience.
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS
  • NRP
• AWHONN Intermediate certification is preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Floating within the hospital may be required.
• No floating to sister facilities.
• Block schedule accommodations are generally not available.
• Locals are accepted, but pending licenses are not.
• RTO Restrictions: Maximum of 1 week and must work during holidays.

Unit Information

The unit features:

• 7 labor beds
• 3 triage rooms
• 2 PACU beds
• 16 mother-baby rooms

Please note: Epic experience is required for this position.

Guaranteed Hours

In the event of low census, Healthcare Providers may be called off or placed on-call in increments of 4 hours, up to a total of 1 shift worth of hours within a two-week cycle.
