Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU Float

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in PCU Float to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various units, filling staffing needs as required throughout the institution.

Shift Details

• Schedule: Night Shift, 3×12 hours
• Shift Timing: 19:00 – 07:30

Patient Population

The PCU Float Nurse will work with a diverse patient population that may include:

• ER boarded patients
• Telemetry patients
• Medical-Surgical patients

Nurse to Patient Ratio

The nurse to patient ratio varies based on unit acuity, typically ranging from 1:4 to 1:6.

Key Responsibilities

The registered nurse will be responsible for the following:

• Providing direct patient care and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.
• Assisting with various clinical procedures and assessments.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Managing staffing needs and bed flow in smaller units while performing core charge nurse duties.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards through EPIC charting.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Charge nurse experience is required.
• Experience in patient care within the United States healthcare system.
• Ability to adapt to various clinical settings and patient populations.
