PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PACU Registered Nurse to join our team for an assignment. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional patient care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.

Assignment Details

• Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 3×12 Variable
• Variable Shifts:
  • 0700-1900
  • 0800-2000
  • 0900-2100
  • 1000-2200
  • 1100-2300

Qualifications

• Must have a valid AK RN license in hand for Auto Offer.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs.

Responsibilities

The PACU RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the recovery phase post-anesthesia. Nurses will provide critical care support and monitor patients to ensure optimal recovery.

On-Call and Weekend Requirements

• On-call is required: 6 calls per 8-week period.
• Nurses must arrive at the facility within 30 minutes when called.
• Weekend coverage is required for on-call duties.

Additional Information

• Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks, with the possibility of being called off for one 12-hour shift per 2 weeks.
• Parking at the facility is free.
• Charting will be done through Epic.
