Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Position Overview

Unit Details

This position is available in a predominantly surgical unit, specializing in:

• Orthopedic Surgery
• Neurosurgery
• General Surgery
• Urology

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients in adherence to established protocols and standards.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and post-operative care.
• Document patient assessments, care provided, and patient responses in the medical record.
• Participate in unit activities and professional development opportunities.

Schedule

This is a night shift position, requiring three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30).

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice.
• Experience in a medical-surgical or surgical nursing unit preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
