Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department setting, with an emphasis on patient assessment, intervention, and support during critical situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Assess patient conditions and provide appropriate interventions in a timely manner.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Float to various locations as needed, ensuring coverage in multiple units.

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a night shift schedule of 4×12 hours. Weekend shifts are required on an every-other-weekend basis.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an emergency room setting.
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, CPI, PALS, and NIH.
• Ability to float between locations as necessitated by patient care needs.
• Must be willing to accommodate flexibility in scheduling.
• Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius.

Additional Information

• Callout policies will require the completion of makeup shifts as determined by department needs.
• Limited opportunities for returning staff; candidates must be away for at least one year to return as a traveler.
• Only two contracts are permitted, with a required six-month hiatus before reapplication.
• Ratios in the emergency department are 1:4.
