We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities, be able to function independently, and adhere to the highest standards of care.

Required Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• 2+ years of relevant nursing experience

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 11
• Equipment: GE monitors
• EHR: Medhost
• Patient Population: All populations

About the Role

The Emergency Room RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients presenting with a variety of medical conditions. Candidates should be familiar with emergency protocols and able to assess patients effectively.

Skills and Experience

• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Experience in community hospital and tertiary care facility practice is preferred
• Knowledge of current emergency medicine practices and protocols

Common Diagnoses/Treatments

• Cardiology issues (e.g., STEMI, ACS)
• Neurological emergencies (e.g., ICH, AIS)
• Gastrointestinal issues
• Psychiatric emergencies
• Trauma care
• Code blue situations
• Overdoses, DKA, KODA requirements

Education

Must possess a valid RN license to practice in the state.

Dress Code

Scrub color is flexible, but attire must include scrubs or facility-branded t-shirts. No clothing with imprints from other facilities is permitted.
