Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in maternal and newborn care, with a focus on providing high-quality support in various maternity settings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn units.
• Float to different areas as required to meet patient care needs.
• Administer care for patients with diagnoses related to labor and delivery.
• Perform special procedures including vaginal and cesarean deliveries, circulation in the OR, starting adult IVs, and administering blood and blood products.
• Manage the use of drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and medications such as insulin and magnesium sulfate.
• Participate in couplet care to support mother-baby attachment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, including experience in LDRP, L&D, postpartum, and newborn care.
• Active Compact license required.
• Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP; ACLS preferred.
• Proficient in circulating, fetal heart monitoring (FHM), and starting IVs.
• Ability to work with specialized equipment related to labor and delivery care.

Staffing Ratio:

The staffing ratio is maintained at 1:1 to 1:3, ensuring a focus on personalized patient care and safety.

Shift Information:

Nights: 3 shifts of 12 hours (19:00 – 07:30)
