Job Description

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg (Medical Surgical) unit, providing high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. Our facility boasts a dedicated team and an environment focused on professional growth and development.

Shift Details

• 12-hour shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required

Unit Information

• Unit: Acute Care 3 (MedSurg)
• Bed Capacity: 44 beds
• Staff: 40 nursing professionals
• Patient Ratios: 1:5, possibly 1:6
• Nurse Aide Support: 1:8, typically 1:10
• General Orientation: 1 week (includes EMR training)
• Floor Specific Orientation: 2 days

Qualifications

• 1 year of nursing experience required
• 1 travel assignment experience required
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS required

Additional Information

• EMR System: Meditech (experience preferred but not required)
• Floating to all acute care and cardio units, as needed to care for medical patients
• Weekend and holiday work required as needed
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
