ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care in a stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing up to 3 patients and possess the following qualifications and skills:

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members.
• Support patients with respiratory diseases, neurological disorders, and chronic illnesses, including COVID-19.
• Manage intravenous drips including insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, Lasix, and low-dose pressors.

Qualifications

• Valid BLS certification (must be AHA).
• ACLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
• Ability to float to other units as necessary.

Work Schedule

• Weekend Requirement: 5 shifts every 6 weeks.
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday.
• Orientation: 3 days on the floor.

Additional Information

• Unit size: 24 beds.
• Electronic Medical Records: Epic.
• Scrub Color: Navy blue pants and solid navy blue or solid white tops, with specific guidelines for long sleeve shirts.
