Primary Care Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)

Schedule: 4×9.5 hours, Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday (Off Thursdays and weekends)

• Monday: 08:15 AM – 05:15 PM
• Tuesday: 07:45 AM – 05:15 PM
• Wednesday: 08:15 AM – 05:45 PM
• Friday: 07:45 AM – 05:15 PM

Position Overview

The Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) will support primary care operations for both adult and pediatric patients in an outpatient clinic setting. Depending on staffing needs, there may be occasional requirements to float to nearby clinics. Reliable transportation is necessary for this position.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) is required; other certifications (MA-R, MA-P, MA-HT) are not accepted.
• A minimum of 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an outpatient clinic, preferably in a cardiology setting, is preferred.
• First-time candidates are accepted.
• No on-call or weekend requirements.

Job Responsibilities

The MA-C will be responsible for various tasks associated with patient care, including but not limited to:

• Assisting with patient examinations and procedures
• Recording patient histories and vital signs
• Administering medications as directed by the medical team
• Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
• Utilizing EPIC for charting and documentation

Additional Information

Scrubs will be provided for the role. Candidates should have no scheduling restrictions and must have their own reliable transportation, not reliant on public transit.
