Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) to join our team in an outpatient primary care setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care.

Schedule

• 4×9.5-hour shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
• Off Thursdays and weekends
• Potential for floating to additional clinic locations as needed after initial training period

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient assessments, examinations, and procedures
• Perform various clinical tasks including taking vital signs and administering medications
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EPIC experience preferred)
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Provide excellent customer service and support to patients and their families

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) certification
• Preferred: 6 months of experience in an adult or pediatric outpatient clinic; experience in a cardiology setting is a plus
• Reliable transportation is required as public transportation is not an option
• No additional scheduling restrictions

Special Notes

Candidates must be open to floating to other clinic locations for staffing coverage as needed. Transportation arrangements and scheduling flexibility are crucial for this role.
