Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients in the labor and delivery unit, ensuring the highest standards of patient care are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage and monitor patients in the labor and delivery unit.
• Utilize external fetal monitoring techniques.
• Recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns effectively.
• Circulate for cesarean sections as needed.
• Provide comprehensive care for neonates, adolescents, and adults.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including OB hospitalists and OB anesthesia providers.
• Float to the Perinatal unit as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Epic electronic medical record experience is a must.
• Current certifications:
  • AHA BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • AWHONN Advanced

Work Schedule

Availability for four weekend shifts per month, which may include Friday or Saturday nights. Mandatory on-call shifts will be required twice monthly, and an ability to float to other units as needed is essential. Nurses will be placed on call if needed during scheduled shifts.

Additional Information

Registered Nurses should be prepared for some holiday commitments, with a limit of three days of requested time off (RTO) during the contract duration. RTO requests must be submitted with clear dates and cannot be adjusted unless to cancel.
