Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders in a long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and contribute to enhancing patient care and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
• Administer various rehabilitation procedures, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
• Assess patient progress and collaborate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Document all required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records according to company policies.
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Participate in patient care conferences, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings or in-services.
• Communicate effectively with other health team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintain adherence to ethical standards and state required practice acts.

Work Schedule

This position is a Monday to Friday role with flexible working hours. The start time is expected to be between 6 AM and 10 AM. Weekend work is not required unless a holiday falls within the workweek, in which case hours can be made up on the weekend.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is required.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
