Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Mother Baby unit. This position will focus on providing exceptional care to mothers and their newborns in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about maternal and infant health and possess the skills necessary to support families during this crucial time.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns.
• Assist in the education of patients and their families regarding postnatal care and infant care practices.
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate health records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (or compact license applicable to the state).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in Mother Baby or Postpartum care.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems; EPIC experience is required.
• Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations are required.

Work Schedule

This position is a night shift role, requiring availability for 40 hours per week, including weekend shifts. It is a flexible position, primarily focused on night shifts.

Additional Information

Candidates will be required to undergo a background check and meet additional health requirements prior to employment. Preference will be given to candidates with no time-off requests during the contract period.
