Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to provide comprehensive care to our patients. This position requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and will focus on delivering high-quality speech therapy services.

Position Information

• Unit: Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU)
• Role: Speech Pathologist (SLP)
• Openings: 1
• Shift: Days with weekend rotation
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours
• Call Requirements: None required, but may be asked
• Licensing: Therapy Licensure required
• Experience: 0+ years; ARU experience and swallow studies preferred
• Float Requirements: Possible float to MedSurg and Outpatient

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 12
• Patient Ratios: 1 staff member to 5-6 patients
• Equipment: Includes but not limited to Sara steady, hoyer lift, and parallel bars
• EHR: EPIC and Nethealth for billing
• Patient Population: Neuro, ortho, debility, cognitive impairments

Candidate Profile

• Required Skills/Experience: Relevant experience and skills in speech pathology
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Experience in Acute Rehabilitation Unit and swallow studies
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Ortho, Neuro, debility
• Personality Fit: Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
• Required Education: Meets the minimal requirements for national and state licensing
