Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Job Overview

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This position requires a strong adherence to clinical guidelines and the ability to demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and effective leadership in patient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiovascular intensive care patients in accordance with applicable standards and hospital policies.
• Utilize the Nursing Process for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and sound clinical judgment in the anticipation and planning of patient care needs.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development.
• Delegate care tasks appropriately, taking into account the abilities and experience of the care team members.
• Supervise and provide direction to assigned personnel in delivering patient care.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience, with a focus on cardiovascular care.
• Prior experience in travel nursing preferred.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Team-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Schedule

This position involves night shifts and does not require on-call duties. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic and fast-paced environment within the CVICU.
