Travel RN Oncology

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Travel Registered Nurse with a background in Oncology to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a medical/surgical oncology unit, specifically assisting with chemotherapy administration and managing blood products.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and manage blood products for patients.
• Deliver compassionate care to patients in a medical/surgical oncology setting.
• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist with patient assessments, planning, and implementation of care plans.
• Participate in patient education regarding treatment plans and health management.

Shift Information

• Evening shift from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Every other weekend required.
• Floating between units may be required based on staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Indiana.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; oncology experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain chemotherapy/bio certification within one year of employment if required.

Unit Information

• 24 beds in the oncology unit.
• Use of Cerner EMR for patient management.
• Scrub color: Navy blue.
