Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 269 in hospital, 1 IR angiosuite, 5 IR holding area beds
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 in Imaging
• Equipment: Nihonkohden patient monitors
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): CERNER, transitioning to EPIC in October 2024

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care within the Imaging Department, including monitoring patient conditions and observing vital signs.
• Maintain intravenous lines for patients receiving IV fluids and administer first aid as needed.
• Administer medications under the direction of a physician.
• Assist in various imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality care for patients across diverse demographics.
• Maintain emergency equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for emergency situations.
• Act as a liaison between the Imaging department and patient care divisions, ensuring effective communication regarding patient status and policy changes.
• Document patient records accurately during their time in the Imaging department.
• Provide compassionate care, emphasizing hospitality and courtesy in all interactions with patients and their families.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Imaging Director.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience with critical care nursing and ability to thrive under pressure.
• Comfort with handling both invasive and non-invasive procedures in the IR suite, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and Diagnostic imaging.

• Unacceptable Attire: Street clothes.
