Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN)

Required Certifications:

• ACLS
• PALS
• BLS
• Certification with ARNA preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 269 in hospital
• IR Angiosuite: 1
• IR Holding Area Beds: 5
• Patient Ratios: 1-1 in Imaging
• Equipment: Nihonkohden patient monitors
• EMR: CERNER / transitioning to EPIC in October 2024

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality care for patients in the Imaging Department, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and vital signs, documenting as necessary.
• Maintain intravenous lines for patients receiving IV fluids.
• Administer first aid and assist with patient comfort as needed.
• Administer medications under physician supervision.
• Assist in various procedures in the Imaging department.
• Interact with patients from diverse backgrounds and age groups.
• Maintain IV skills and emergency equipment, ensuring proper working order.
• Act as a liaison between the Imaging Department and patient care division, ensuring proper documentation and communication of any changes in patient conditions.
• Coordinate with the patient care division regarding any changes in Imaging policies and procedures affecting patient care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Imaging Director.
• Deliver excellence in hospitality, courtesy, and compassion.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with invasive and non-invasive procedures in the IR suite, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and Diagnostic imaging.

Personality Fit:

• Candidates should be adept at critical care nursing and capable of handling high-pressure situations effectively.
