Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides essential nursing care and support to patients in an inpatient acute rehabilitation setting. This role is vital in assisting patients as they recover from severe injuries or illnesses, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the rehabilitation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by registered nurses and physicians.
- Monitor and record patients’ health status, including vital signs, and report any changes.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on care procedures and rehabilitation goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Document nursing care and patient progress accurately in electronic medical records.
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a rehabilitation or acute care setting.
- Strong understanding of patient care procedures and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Work Schedule
This position requires availability for night shifts, providing care during evening and overnight hours.
