Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate nursing care to patients, under the direction of a licensed registered nurse (RN). The ideal candidate will assist with activities of daily living and perform routine assigned tasks while reporting on patient status and concerns.
Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for performing various tasks related to patient care, including assisting with self-care needs, nutrition, hydration, and personal hygiene. This role plays a critical part in supporting the nursing staff and ensuring the smooth operation of the healthcare unit.
Essential Functions
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and elimination needs.
- Perform vital sign assessments, including pulse and blood pressure.
- Provide clerical support, including routing patient reports as necessary.
- Utilize organizational and prioritization skills to maintain a smooth workflow within the unit.
- Communicate assessment data to licensed nurses, including both verbal and nonverbal patient responses.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.
- At least two years of recent experience in the healthcare field is required.
Organizational Requirements
