Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PICU RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to critically ill children, demonstrating a compassionate approach while ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, utilizing advanced clinical skills to evaluate health status.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document all nursing interventions accurately.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, fostering a supportive environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Participate in critical care procedures and emergency interventions when necessary.
Shift Requirements
This position requires availability for 4×12-hour night shifts. Flexibility to work holidays is also required.
Qualifications
- Active nursing license in Indiana, along with necessary certifications.
- Previous experience in a PICU or similar high-acuity setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and families.
- Willingness to work as part of a dedicated team focused on providing outstanding patient care.
Traveler Information
This position is open to first-time travelers, with local candidates not accepted. There are no block schedules available.
Exemptions
Registered Nurses specializing in Perioperative/OR, Allied, and Ambulatory are exempt from certain travel restrictions and may apply even past established deadlines.
