Cytotechnologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cytotechnologist to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and interpreting cytological specimens to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cytological evaluations and prepare reports on findings.
• Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and diagnostic processes.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
• Participate in proficiency testing and continuing education to remain compliant with ASCP standards.
• Assist in training and mentoring new staff or students in cytology techniques.

Qualifications

• Current ASCP certification as a Cytotechnologist (ASCP-CT).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.

Shift and Schedule

The position is a Day shift, offering a schedule of 5 days a week, with hours from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM.

Employment Type

This is a full-time position. Block schedules are not available for this role.
